What Lies Beyond

The tempo marking that composer Steve Parsons uses with this piece is "Expressively, with drive" which may at first seem like a contradiction but once you hear the hauntingly beautiful theme surrounded by the magical moving lines you will understand. There are several dramatic moments in the composition and the ebb and flow of the music lends itself to flexibility with the tempo while maintaining the forward motion.
