Product Description
WD® Control Plate for Bass</h2>This control plate was designed for usage on a bass that does not use a pickguard and has a similar control rout shape to that of a P Bass®. It is made slightly oversized and has an extra control hole at the top. To accomodate the added control hole on an authentic Fender® P Bass®, you will need to modify the existing control cavity rout. Mounting screws are not included. Available in black, chrome and gold.

Great alternative to full pickguard
For those who don't want a full pickguard, this is a great alternative. I have mine wired with an EMG pickup and I fill the remaining spot with an EXB, a great onboard accessory.
