The Church Is an Ark

Broad harmonies and a lilting piano accompaniment bring to mind pictures of a majestic ship sailing the open sea. The Church Is an Ark also features wonderful imagery in the text. "The church is an ark that carries the Word and all who believe the Gospel heard, this ark was built by nail-scarred hands, built from the wood of a cross." What a powerful thought! When the commissioning church sang this anthem at their outdoor dedication service, a rainbow appeared in the sky. Powerful, indeed!
