Teka, Teka

Venislovas is a Lithuanian composer whose piece has been selected for the Bruce Rogers series. A folk-song like piece the text is about an encounter between a maiden and a soldier in the woods. It is not a love song, it is more about the distance between the two.  The music is mysterious and wonderfully original, it absolutely draws you into the story and leaves you wanting more.
