Product Description
Using a careful mix of convolution and physical modeling, the Tape Machine Collection line of plug-ins re-creates the complex interplay of machine, tape, and audio to capture even the smallest detail of 4 iconic tape machines. The Tape Machine 99 is modeled on the Revox PR99, a stereo recorder produced by Studer in the 1980s. Similar to the A80 but with more modern electronics, the fantastic head design offers the flattest frequency response of the 4 T-RackS Tape Machine series, especially on bass. A standard for broadcast and classical music, it can also add a useful low-fi feel when used at lower speed. Add warmth and character, low-end weight, ear-pleasing high end and glue your tracks together. The T-RackS Tape Machine 99 offers a combination of iconic sound with real-world workflow to make creating classic-sounding recordings faster and easier than ever. 4 magic formulas: the Tape Machine 99 lets you choose from 4 different tape formulations, each with its own unique harmonic character: - 250: Modelled after the 3M/Scotch 250 tape - 456: Modelled after the Ampex 456 tape - GP9: Modelled after the Quantegy GP9 tape - 499: Modelled after the Ampex 499 tape Comprehensive controls Each Tape Machine plug-in offers controls over tape speed, head selection, record bias, and other common controls, as well as exclusive features like "true stereo" to re-create the subtle differences between left and right on a real analog machine, and IK`s powerful new transport modeling, which captures the realistic wow and flutter of each machine.
