Southern Charm

Every concert or festival program needs a great ballad that features a talented member of the band. This delightful piece features alto saxophone, and is written so that the melody is situated in the most comfortable and resonant range of the instrument. The ensemble accompaniment is robust, though very accessible, and the band alternates between swing and straight eighth-notes, something that's very common in more advanced jazz ballads.
