Punta Sardina - Carnaval de la Galdar

This intriguing samba was inspired by the time composer Jack Cooper spent on the Island of Canaria off the coast of Africa. The whole band will get a workout with melodic segments moving throughout the ensemble. There is solo space for tenor saxophone and trumpet that may be opened up. An excellent selection to contrast a swing chart at a concert or festival.
