Luxe .015uF Bumblebee Capacitor (Woman Tone)

Details Brand new, made in the U.S.A. in the Luxe Radio workshop, to exact Vintage Specs. This is a perfect clone of the original Sprague Bumblebee capacitor found in the most collectible Gibson guitars made between 1956 and 1960. "Woman Tone" refers to that slightly muffled neck pickup tone with a sweet midrange moan. Just listen to Eric Clapton's tone on "White Room" or "Sunshine of Your Love" and you will hear exactly that. The .015uf capacitor rolls off less high end on your tone control compared to the standard .022uf value which has a slightly darker effect. The result is a sweeter, more transparent tone when you roll the tone control back. .015uf is recommended for the neck pickup tone control with a .022uf for the bridge pickup tone control. Each cap is hand wound on a 1932 Sprague Specialties Co. Winding Machine replica using exact vintage spec aluminum foil and paper film. They're hand soldered, hand cast in oven-proof thermoplastic, hot vacuum impregnated with pure castor oil and hand-painted. Includes vintage style amber tubing on each lead.
