Hear My Voice

In this remarkable piece, the audience is invited to "hear my voice ... pierce the ceiling of the waves." With a text taken from the Book of Psalms, the work includes an aleatoric section where individual choir members each sing "hear my voice" in a different language and on a different pitch, imitating the roaring of the waves themselves. A language guide for the title phrase translated into over 50 languages is included.
