A collection of pieces to train drummers and percussionists in the ensemble playing of Afro-Cuban rhythms, Etudes for Latin Percussion Ensemble by Victor Rend?n explores the art of playing Latin percussion instruments: bongos,?tumbadoras?(congas), timbales, and drum set. The material can be read and practiced by beginner to advanced players. Most of the pieces are open-ended so that they can be played with any combination of instruments. Clave and g?iro can also be added. The pieces can be played by 2-6 players or more. Each piece includes audio recording with full percussion, minus bongos, minus congas, minus timbales, and minus drum set for play-along practice. Videos are also included.
