It was not until recently that Richard Burchard's music began to be published, but his reputation as a wonderful composer for a cappella voices has risen with remarkable speed. His harmonies are rich and colorful, and the suspensions are dense and flowing. Simply put, choirs love singing his music because it is so satisfying.
